Toy Story 3 The Essential Guide Book Review

By Erin V.

One of the shorter ‘essential guides’ at about 50 pages, (versus the ‘visual guides’ which usually are about 70), this is a neat tie-in to the wonderful new Toy Story 3.

After the introduction, the first 20 pages give us an update on where the main characters are now, with info sheets about them.  Then, we meet some of the new characters, and get an overview about some of the key locations from the film.  A word of warning though; don’t read through this book if you haven’t seen the film and don’t like spoilers – this book goes through the film pretty much sequentially to the end.

Like the other essential guides, this is a book that will be enjoyed by both children and adults.  The pictures and limited text make it readable for most about 7 & up, while still remaining a fun ‘collection’ book for older fans of the Toy Story franchise as well.

  1. I attended a special screening for Toy Story 3. I went in with HIGH expectations. I LOVED the first two Toy Stories movies. Toy Story is a beloved franchise that almost everyone that I know loves the first two films. Now how about the 3rd film? Well all I could say is that it lived up to my unbelievably HIGH expectations and then some. This is such a good film. It has the laughs, magic and best of all the entertainment. The new characters in the movie feel like they were in the previous two films, they were that engaging and really worked well in the movie. I truly believe that this is one of the best Trilogy of all time. Number 1 is The Lord of the Rings. 10/10 Go Watch It
