Today, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment released the complete first season of the hit TV sitcom Modern Family on Blu-ray & DVD.  The show, now in its second season, follows three very diverse families in mockumentary style, making for lighthearted and agreeably amusing television entertainment.  With the characters and topics addressed, the show has a wide, universal appeal, and the different portraits of family life will be relatable to many.

 

Those that don’t watch Modern Family may remember it to be the show that beat out the edgier and more groundbreaking Glee for best comedy series at this year’s Emmy’s, which is just one of the reasons why it’s worth checking out.  Regular viewers of the show will want to own their favourite episodes on DVD.

 

The 3 disc Blu-ray set includes all 24 episodes from the first season, as well as featurettes, deleted/extended/alternate scenes, and a gag reel.
