Today, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing the summer comedy Grown Ups on Blu-ray & DVD.  The film opened in theatres on June 25th to financial success, but critical failure.

 

Five friends (Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider) reunite at a cottage during the weekend of their old basketball coach’s funeral, only to partake in the same juvenile mischief that united them as boys.  Although light on plot and supplying little funny material for even the most talented members of the cast, the mostly inoffensive lowbrow humour will likely still be enjoyed by hardcore fans of the actors.

 

The Blu-ray includes a blooper reel, gag reel, deleted scenes, a couple of featurettes, and more.

 

Grown Ups is 102 minutes and rated PG.
