Today, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment is releasing the kids book adaptation Ramona and Beezus on Blu-ray & DVD.  We reviewed Ramona and Beezus when it opened in theatres on July 23rd, all agreeing that, despite some misjudged fantastical sequences, this is a surprisingly charming film for it’s target audience.  You can read our full reviews here, our consensus was:

 

“Ramona and Beezus is a wholesome and surprisingly sweet film that can be enjoyed by those of all ages, despite falling short several times due to some CGI-based sequences and a mildly overlong running time. **1/2 (Out of 4)”

 

The Blu-ray includes a featurette on filmmaking, another on the book series with author Beverley Cleary, deleted scenes, and a gag reel.

 

Ramona and Beezus is 104 minutes and rated G.
