The Sound of Music: On November 2nd, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment released the beloved Rodgers & Hammerstein classic, The Sound of Music, for the first time in glorious HD. With memorable performances from Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, and featuring numerous classic songs, the musical was originally released in 1965 and went on to win 5 Academy Awards, including Best Picture. This beautiful new 45th anniversary edition is the one fans have been waiting for.
The 3-disc set also includes a DVD of the film, as well as a bounty of bonus material including audio commentary with Andrews, Plummer and director Robert Wise, several featurettes, archival footage, and an interactive track that includes on-screen lyrics.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: Courtesy of MGM, on November 2nd Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was also released for the first time on Blu-ray. Starring Dick Van Dyke and featuring music from the beloved Sherman Brothers, the film was originally released in 1968 and picked up an Oscar nomination for the title song. Although obviously a lesser musical than The Sound of Music, this is still a kids classic that has been enjoyed by families for many years.
The 2-disc set comes packaged with a DVD, and special features including featurettes, games, photo galleries and a sing-along version.
