On November 9th, Universal Home Entertainment released Scott Pilgrim vs. The World on DVD. Although this Toronto-based film sadly tanked at the box office, this is a true epic of epic epicness that needs a level bar to measure it’s awesomeness. As cool as a comic book, this is one of the most raucously entertaining movies of the year. Here’s hoping it will gain a second life on DVD.
We reviewed Scott Pilgrim when it opened in theatres on August 13th, all agreeing on the awesome factor. Read our full thoughts here – our consensus was:
“Filmed entirely on-location in Toronto, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is incredibly entertaining and vastly appealing. Featuring great performances, and video game/comic book style graphics, this is an endlessly inventive film. ***3/4 (Out of 4)”
The DVD includes deleted scenes, a blooper reel and feature commentaries with the cast and crew.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is 113 minutes and rated PG.
