Winners of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards

It’s been a long awards season, that has just come to a close with the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.  Frontrunner The King’s Speech ultimately took home four awards, including Best Picture, as well as Best Director for Tom Hooper.  The other Oscar-season favourite, The Social Network, picked up three awards.

Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Natalie Portman (Black Swan), Christian Bale (The Fighter) and Mellissa Leo (The Fighter) were the very deserving winners in the acting categories.  It should also be noted that Pixar’s masterpiece Toy Story 3 took home the award for Best Animated Feature.

We spent this past week offering more in-depth commentary on the awards, and it was fun watching the winners be announced.  James Franco & Anne Hathaway did a wacky job of hosting the show, and the many celebrity guests who presented the awards made for a usually entertaining night.

Please come back early tomorrow for a complete look back at all of the highlights (and low points) of the night, and see below for a complete list of nominees in all 24 categories, with the winners highlighted in Bold.

We would like to take this time to say congratulations to all of the nominees and winners at tonight’s Oscars.  Good night everyone!
