With the Toy Story characters fresh off a win for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, the beloved gang of toys will be featured in Pixar’s upcoming short film, Hawaiian Vacation.

 

Today it was announced that the short will have it’s world premiere on April 8th, as part of the opening night programme for the Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for children and youth.  After that, the short will be released theatrically alongside Cars 2 come June 24th.

 

The opening night programme for the children and youth film festival will also include a special sneak peek of Cars 2, to be followed by a behind-the-scenes presentation by a Pixar animator who worked on both the short and the feature.  A short clip of Hawaiian Vacation can be watched here, and you can get more info on Sprockets here.
