Legendary actress and screen beauty Elizabeth Taylor has sadly passed away this morning at a hospital in Los Angeles due to complications from congestive heart failure. She was 79.
Perhaps best known for her unforgettable role in 1966’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, for which she won her second Oscar, Taylor will also be remembered for her work in numerous classic films like BUtterfield 8 (1960) and Giant (1956). Her onscreen career spanned nearly 60 years, and also included roles in the original Father of the Bride (1950) and the infamous Cleopatra (1963).
Elizabeth Taylor was a legendary and influential movie star who will be missed by many. May she rest in peace.
