On September 20th, Universal Home Entertainment released Bridesmaids on DVD & Blu-ray.  With several standout sequences of comedic gold, this is a frequently hilarious and suitably heartfelt film with a breakout role from the comically brilliant Kristen Wiig.  We reviewed the film when it opened in theatres on May 13th, our overall consensus was:

“Fronted by the comedic brilliance of Kristen Wiig and a mostly strong supporting cast, Bridesmaids has its share of outrageously funny sequences.  Despite an overlong running time and a needless gross-out scene, this female-centric comedy will entertain both men and women alike.  **3/4 (Out of 4)”

The DVD includes commentary with the cast and crew, deleted and extended scenes as well as a gag reel.

Bridesmaids is 125 minutes and rated 14A.  The unrated version runs for 131 minutes.
