Blu-ray Release: The Lorax (1972)

Exactly 40 years ago today, Dr. Seuss’ book The Lorax was released as a 25-minute 2D-animated TV special.  Up there as one of the most brilliant of the Dr. Seuss stories/specials, the short film has a whole lot more under the surface than you may expect.

This classic is being released on Blu-ray just in time for the release of a CGI feature-length version of The Lorax story on March 2nd, and is well worth adding to your collection and re-watching before then.

The set also includes the following special features:

• Featurette: The Lorax: The Trees!  The Trees!  The Voice of the Trees

Plus the two following Dr. Seuss animated stories:

Pontoffel Pock & His Magic Piano

Butter Battle Book

The Lorax is rated PG, and the bonus material is unrated.
