Today, Disney is releasing their recent hit Cinderella on Blu-ray. Ella (Lily James) is a kindhearted country girl, who is left to live with her evil stepmother Lady Tremaine (Cate Blanchett). But her life changes when she meets a charming prince (Richard Madden), and is determined to reunite with him at the Royal Ball, with help from her Fairy Godmother (Helena Bonham Carter), of course.
Director Kenneth Branagh has done a beautiful job of bringing this fairy tale to life once again, delivering a touching love story that has the feel of a classic period piece, from the breathtaking costumes to the sweeping cinematography. This is a gorgeous live action fairy tale, that provides an enchanting feast for both the eyes and the heart. You can read our three views right here.
The Blu-ray includes a brief alternate opening and four featurettes on the production. There’s also the cute short film Frozen Fever, which screened with the film in theatres.
Cinderella is 105 minutes and rated PG.
