The most recent entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man is being released on Blu-ray 3D today. The film shows the origin story of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), who has just gotten out of jail and teams up with scientist Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), who has developed a suit that allows the wearer to shrink down to the size of an ant, to take down a dangerous corporatist (Corey Stoll) who plans to weaponize the technology.
Arguably Marvel’s flat-out funniest film yet, and one of the most purely enjoyable pieces of this much larger machine, Ant-Man is a comedic heist film that provides breezy entertainment from start to finish, with the always likeable Paul Rudd in top form. It’s simply a lot of fun, and you can check out our three views of the film right here.
The 3D effects are solid throughout, and the Blu-ray also includes audio commentary with director Peyton Reed and Paul Rudd, a gag reel, deleted and extended scenes, as well as several featurettes.
Ant-Man is 117 minutes and rated PG.
