Today, Elevation Pictures is releasing the gangster drama Legend on Blu-ray. Starring Tom Hardy in a dual role, this glossy biopic recounts the true story of notorious twin gangsters Reggie and Ronnie Kray, who together ruled the crime-riddled streets of London in the 1960s.
Although I still think it’s got a lot of problems, Legend is one of those films that I actually enjoyed a little more upon second viewing, and it offers enough entertaining moments to make it worth a look. Tom Hardy admirably gives it his all in an impressive showcase for his range, and it’s worth seeing for him alone. My original review is right here.
The Blu-ray also includes commentary with writer-director Brian Helgeland, as well as a featurette.
Legend is 132 minutes and rated 14A.
