Theatrical Releases:

Good Grief (TIFF Bell Lightbox): This is the emptiest Friday for new releases in recent memory (the big movies opened on Christmas a few days ago), with the only release on my radar being this directorial debut from Daniel Levy (Schitt’s Creek). Levy also wrote and stars in the film as Marc, a man recovering from the unexpected death of his husband Oliver (Luke Evans), with Ruth Negga and Himesh Patel in supporting roles as his two best friends. Reviews are decent, and I’m curious to check it out. Opening in limited release at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto, before dropping on Netflix on January 5th.

More Releases: Ferrari (Christmas Day), The Boys in the Boat (Christmas Day), The Color Purple (Christmas Day)

Streaming Releases:

Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret. (Crave), Sisu (Crave), Gran Turismo (Crave), Ricky Gervais: Armageddon (Netflix), Berlin (Netflix), Sound of Freedom (Prime Video), After Everything (Prime Video)
