Today, critics group GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics (of which I am a member) announced the nominations for their 15th annual Dorian Film Awards, voted on by the group’s over five hundred members. Leading the pack is Andrew Haigh’s tender queer drama All of Us Strangers with a total nine nominations, followed by Greta Gerwig’s smash hit Barbie with seven.

Both films got slots in Film of the Year, alongside fellow nominees May December, Past Lives and Poor Things (somewhat noticeably absent from the top category was Oppenheimer, nominated in five other categories). The winners, along with the recipient of the group’s Timeless Star Career Achievement Award (“honoring an exemplary career marked by character, wisdom and wit”), will be announced on February 26th.
