Paramount has just released a new trailer (and new poster) for Ridley Scott’s upcoming blockbuster Gladiator II. Paul Mescal stars in this sequel as Lucius, and is joined by Denzel Washington, Connie Nielsen, Pedro Pascal and Joseph Quinn. The film is shaping up to potentially become a major Oscar contender, following in the footsteps of the first one.

I was already fully onboard for this sequel, and the new trailer gives us another taste of what’s in store from Scott’s Ancient Rome epic (and it isn’t set to a rap song this time around, for those so bothered by the anachronistic music choice in the first trailer).
