New Trailer for Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist

By John Corrado

A24 has released the new full-length trailer for The Brutalist, director Brady Corbet’s 3-and-a-half-hour Vistavision epic, starring Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones in three of the best performances of the year. The full trailer is embedded below.

I saw The Brutalist at TIFF (in 70mm with the intermission), and it’s a monumental work. It’s certainly one of the greatest (if not the greatest) cinematic achievements of 2024, and this trailer gives you a good sense of the sweeping scope; including Lol Crawley’s striking cinematography, and Daniel Blumberg’s stunning musical score. The experience of seeing this in a theatre is overwhelming in the best possible way.

I’m going to keep banging the drum for this one as much as I can. The film, which received seven Golden Globe nominations yesterday, begins its limited theatrical rollout in Toronto on December 25th, which includes a run at TIFF Lightbox. It’s being released in Canada by Elevation Pictures.
