The first trailer has just been released for Jurassic World Rebirth. This is the sixth film in the Jurassic franchise, following the first three Park and World movies. This one looks like a bit of a reboot, with Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali taking over the starring roles.

Directed by Gareth Edwards (The Creator, Godzilla, Rogue One), Rebirth also looks to have a somewhat darker, more grounded tone. It’s set five years after 2022’s Jurassic World Dominion, which I personally found to be a bit of a disappointment. I’m hoping this one can reignite the spark, and I’m cautiously optimistic following this trailer.

The film opens in theatres on July 2nd. It’s shaping up to be quite the packed summer month, with Superman and The Fantastic Four: First Steps also opening. The full trailer is below.
