Here’s something fun for you. A24 has just released the first trailer for director Andrew DeYoung’s “nightmare” comedy Friendship. Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave) stars in the film alongside Paul Rudd, in an awkward tale of male friendship gone awry.

I saw this one when it premiered in TIFF’s Midnight Madness section last year (you can read my full review from the festival here), which is also where A24 acquired the film for distribution. It delivers a lot of laughs, thanks to the finely tuned comic personas of both Robinson and Rudd. The trailer gives audiences a good sense of the film’s escalating and uniquely droll comic tone.

The film will be released in theatres this May. Add this one to your watchlist. The full trailer is below.
