First Teaser Trailer for The Life of Chuck

By John Corrado

Distributor NEON has just released the first teaser trailer for director Mike Flanagan’s The Life of Chuck, which they acquired following last year’s TIFF, where it won the festival’s coveted People’s Choice Award.

Tom Hiddleston stars as the titular Chuck, alongside a host of others. Like the poster that was released a few days ago, this teaser – which was reportedly playing in theatres with Mickey 17 – keeps the same mysterious tone. It’s built around images of the universe and leans heavily into the fact that the film is adapted from a Stephen King short story. It works to drum up intrigue around the film, which is worth experiencing somewhat cold.

I was at the big TIFF world premiere last year where Flanagan’s film blew the roof off (you can read my rave review from the festival here), and it’s already far and away my favourite movie of 2025. This is something special, including one of the most euphoric cinematic sequences in recent memory. I’m very happy NEON picked this one up and is giving it a proper theatrical release.

The Life of Chuck opens exclusively in theatres this June. The teaser trailer is below.
