New releases for the week of March 14th, 2025.

Theatrical Releases:
Black Bag (Wide Release): Steven Soderbergh’s latest is a sexy spy thriller that is less action film and more marital drama. Michael Fassbender stars as a secret agent whose wife (Cate Blanchett) is suspected of being a double agent, drawing two other couples into the mix as well. The dialogue is often snappy and it’s carried by a tight ensemble cast that keeps the whole thing very entertaining. A highly enjoyable ninety minute movie. (Full Review)
Can I Get a Witness? (Limited Release): This Canadian drama from writer-director Ann Marie Fleming is set in a dystopian future where everybody is forced to give up their life at fifty for the sake of the planet. It’s a chilling premise, and Fleming’s film – which follows a teenaged artist (Keira Jang) who observes people in their final moments – is at its strongest when exploring its concept through more intimate character moments.
