Disney has just released the brand new “official” trailer for Pixar’s upcoming film Elio. This trailer shows off a lot more of the plot behind this animated sci-fi action comedy, including the friendship between the titular Elio (voiced by Yonas Kibreab) and an alien named Glordon (Remy Edgerly).
Set to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now,” the trailer promises a colourful and energetic adventure, but one that also has heart – Elio himself is a lonely kid who seems like he might be on the autism spectrum, whether or not they say it in the film.
Pixar is hot off the massive success of Inside Out 2, which became the highest grossing movie of last year, and is going to be a tough act to follow. They are obviously hoping to replicate this success when Elio finally opens in theatres on June 20th. The full trailer is below.
