New releases for the week of June 27th, 2025.

Theatrical Releases:
F1: The Movie (Wide Release): The big new release this week is this racing movie from Joseph Kosinski, the director of the 2022 legacy sequel Top Gun: Maverick. Kosinski’s latest stars Brad Pitt as a seasoned Formula One driver, with Damson Idris as a young hot shot. The racing scenes alone make this one to see on the big screen. I loved Top Gun: Maverick, so I’m pumped for this one and fully onboard with whatever Kosinski has in store. It looks like he has delivered another ultimate summer blockbuster. (Full Review)
M3GAN 2.0 (Wide Release): This sequel to the surprise 2023 horror hit follows the further adventures of the (dancing) killer android M3GAN and her creator Gemma (Allison Williams). The first movie was fine enough as a killer robot doll horror movie with some campy elements (you can read my review of it right here), and I’m hearing this one leans into being even more of an action comedy. I haven’t seen it yet, but I’m guessing audiences who enjoyed the first film should be satisfied.
