New This Week (08/15/2025): Nobody 2, & More!

By John Corrado

New releases for the week of August 15th, 2025.

Bob Odenkirk in Nobody 2

Theatrical Releases:

Nobody 2 (Wide Release): Bob Odenkirk returns as the contract killer and family man in this sequel to his 2021 action flick. This sequel sends Odenkirk’s Hutch and his family going on vacation to an old school water park, where most of the action is set. Christopher Lloyd is once again a highlight as the crotchety grandpa, and Sharon Stone joins the cast as a scenery-chewing villainess. It’s the sort of sequel that is a little bigger and goofier than the first one, but it’s pretty fun as an end of summer action flick. (Full Review)

Sweet Angel Baby (Limited Release): This Canadian drama from writer-director Melanie Oates is receiving a limited release after premiering at TIFF last year. It follows Eliza (Michaela Kurimsky), a woman in a small fishing village in Newfoundland, who faces communal judgement after her racy online persona is revealed. Opens at Imagine Cinemas Carlton in Toronto. (TIFF 2024 Review)
