Theatrical Releases:

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey (Wide Release): Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell star in this romantic fantasy, which is the latest film from director Kogonada. I really liked Kogonada’s previous two films (Columbus and After Yang), so I’m curious to check this one out, even if reviews are pretty mixed.

Streaming Releases:

Swiped (Disney+): This biopic of dating app titan Whitney Wolfe Herd (played by Lily James), a co-founder of Tinder and the creator of Bumble, is going direct-to-streaming after premiering at TIFF. It can be a frustratingly conventional telling of this story, but it’s still passable as a streaming effort. (Full Review)
