Disney has just released the first poster and teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the big screen continuation of the popular Disney Plus series. Will this translate into being a box office hit? This is the first theatrically released Star Wars movie since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019.
It’s directed by showrunner Jon Favreau. Pedro Pascal returns in the starring role of bounty hunter Din Djarin, and Sigourney Weaver joins the cast. But the main selling point is the adorable Grogu (“Baby Yoda”) himself, with the teaser showing off an array of other creatures.
The film opens exclusively in theatres on May 22nd, 2026. The full teaser is below!
