Disney has just released the new trailer (and poster) for Hoppers, Pixar’s next original movie opening next year. This one follows a girl who has her consciousness put into a robotic beaver, to infiltrate the animal kingdom. The full cast list has also been unveiled, including Meryl Streep, making her Pixar debut!

From the press release: “The all-star ensemble features the voices of Meryl Streep (Insect Queen), Dave Franco (Titus), Kathy Najimy (Dr. Sam), Eduardo Franco (Loaf), Melissa Villaseñor (Ellen), Ego Nwodim (Fish Queen), Vanessa Bayer (Diane), Sam Richardson (Conner), Aparna Nancherla (Nisha), Nichole Sakura (Reptile Queens), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Bird King), Steve Purcell (Amphibian King), Karen Huie (Grandma Tanaka) and Tom Law (Tom Lizard), along with previously announced voice cast members Piper Curda (Mabel), Bobby Moynihan (King George) and Jon Hamm (Mayor Jerry).”

Daniel Chong, creator of the cartoon series We Bare Bears, directs this one. It looks like a total blast. This one opens exclusively in theatres on March 6th, 2026. I’m hoping it does well at the box office and enough people show up to support an original movie from Pixar, before Toy Story 5 opens in the summer.
