Theatrical Releases:

A Private Life (Limited Release): Jodie Foster stars in this French-language psychological thriller from director Rebecca Zlotowski, playing an American psychiatrist in Paris who believes the death of her longtime patient might be murder. I enjoyed this one. It’s unexpectedly playful and surprisingly fun to watch unfold, with Foster being a compelling presence at the centre of it all. (Full Review)

H is for Hawk (Limited Release): Claire Foy stars as a woman grieving the death of her father (Brendan Gleeson) who adopts a wild goshawk to train in the art of falconry, in this drama directed by Philippa Lowthorpe and co-written by Canadian author Emma Donoghue. I liked this one. It’s a quiet character drama, with a very good performance from Foy. (Full Review)

Honey Bunch (Limited Release): This Canadian psychological drama stars frequent collaborators and real life couple Ben Petrie and Grace Glowicki, and follows a man who brings his wife for treatment at a mysterious facility. I saw this one during TIFF (where Petrie and Glowicki also premiered their film Dead Lover). It’s the sophomore feature from co-directors Madeline Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli. (TIFF 2025 Review)
