Today, eOne Films is releasing the breakout animated hit Gnomeo & Juliet on Blu-ray & DVD.  Filled with witty references to Shakespeare and beautifully animated right here in Toronto, this is a strangely appealing and surprisingly entertaining film, that provides a fun diversion for those of all ages.  We reviewed the film when it opened in theatres on February 11th, our overall consensus was:

“With an all-star voice cast and beautifully textured visuals from Toronto’s Starz Animation, Gnomeo & Juliet is a surprisingly appealing and entertaining take on Shakespeare’s classic tragedy. ***1/4 (Out of 4)”

The Blu-ray includes deleted scenes and an alternate ending, as well as a couple of featurettes and an Elton John music video.  The combo pack also includes DVD and 3D copies of the film.

Gnomeo & Juliet is 84 minutes and rated G.
