Today, Disney is releasing the wonderful Pixar prequel Monsters University on Blu-ray & DVD, just in time for Halloween.  This is an incredibly entertaining college movie that allows us to spend more time with these loveable characters, while offering a very touching message about self acceptance.  We all reviewed and highly recommended Monsters University when it was released on June 21st, and our overall consensus was:

“Directed by Dan Scanlon, Monsters University is another winner from Pixar, an incredibly entertaining prequel to the beloved 2001 film Monsters, Inc. that offers likeable characters with a lot of heart and a touching message.  ***3/4 (Out of 4)”

The Blu-ray includes audio commentary, deleted scenes and a bunch of featurettes on different aspects of the production.  Also included is the cute short film The Blue Umbrella.

Monsters University is 104 minutes and rated G.
