The first teaser trailer has been released for Captain America: Brave New World (alongside the first poster). The 2025 film serves as not only the fourth Captain America movie, but also a continuation of the Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which finds Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson officially taking over for Chris Evans and assuming his role as the new Captain America. The film also sees Harrison Ford officially joining the MCU as the President of the United States.
Tonally, it looks very much in-line with the feel of Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Directed by Julius Onah (Luce, The Cloverfield Paradox), Brave New World is reportedly currently undergoing reshoots in Georgia, and the film has a lot of pressure on it to be more of a return to form for the somewhat sagging Marvel Cinematic Universe (following last year’s dud The Marvels).
Captain America: Brave New World is being released in theatres on February 14th, 2025, trailer and official synopsis are below. Please comment your thoughts if you have watched the trailer!
“After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.”
