New releases for the week of July 11th, 2025.

Theatrical Releases:

Superman (Wide Release): There’s really only one big new release this week, and that is James Gunn’s Superman, which serves as a reboot for his version of the DC cinematic universe. Gunn’s version stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luther. Reviews have been good for what looks to be a colourful (if cartoony) comic book movie, with Gunn’s version serving as a stark departure from Zack Snyder’s darker iteration of the character in Man of Steal. I’ll have more to say once I see it soon!
