Every day from December 1st to 24th, we will be counting down to Christmas by profiling holiday classics both old and new.  Arranged in chronological order, these are some of our favourites to watch every year.  Enjoy!

Not only is The Muppet Christmas Carol a heartwarming classic, but the 1992 film is also a surprisingly faithful adaptation of Charles Dickens’ work.  The second of three adaptations to appear on our list, this one is filled with excellent songs by Paul Williams and a brilliant performance by Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge.  The entire Muppet cast is equally great, including Kermit the Frog as Bob Kratchit and narration by The Great Gonzo.  If you are a fan of Jim Henson’s characters or the work of Charles Dickens, then The Muppet Christmas Carol is one worth watching every year.
