Blu-ray Release: Clueless

May 1, 2012

Today, Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing the 1995 classic Clueless for the first time on Blu-ray.  Cher (Alicia Silverstone) is a spoiled high schooler who has it all, only doing stuff for others to make herself feel good.  But her attitude is about to get a makeover under the influence of Josh (Paul Rudd), her former step brother.

Written and directed by Amy Heckerling, who gave us the equally excellent Fast Times at Ridgemont High in 1984, Clueless is a teen classic that still feels fresh after seventeen years.  Filled with mid-90s slang and a lot of heart, the script is sharp and never gets old, making this a complete package of entertainment that holds up well to repeat viewings.  The film looks great on Blu-ray and fans are encouraged to add the sparkly set to their collections.

The Blu-ray includes a “Clue or False” trivia game and numerous featurettes on the film.

Clueless is 97 minutes and rated PG.
