DVD/Blu-ray Release: Rock of Ages
On October 9th, Warner Home Entertainment released Rock of Ages on Blu-ray & DVD. Featuring one of Tom Cruise’s best performances as the rock star Stacee Jaxx, this is one that those who enjoy music movies are going to want to watch – if just for the pure fun and light enjoyment of it. When we reviewed the film in theatres on June 15th, our consensus was:
“Although not as strong as director Adam Shankman’s last musical Hairspray, Rock of Ages is a thoroughly entertaining movie with an awesome soundtrack and a strong cast that includes a brilliant turn from Tom Cruise as a rock star. *** (Out of 4)”
The Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack includes a digital copy, and the following bonus features:
• Rock of Ages: Legends of the Sunset Strip
• The Stories We Sing
• Defining a Decade
• Any Way You Want It Music Featurette
• And More!
(Suppléments en anglais avec sous-titre français)
Rock of Ages has two cuts on the Blu-ray, the theatrical runs for 123 minutes, and the extended for 136. Both are rated PG. You can read our original theatrical reviews here.
