Today, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing this summer’s excellent superhero reboot The Amazing Spider-Man on DVD & Blu-ray, just in time for the weekend.  With excellent performances from Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, this is an exciting and emotionally resonant start to a very promising new franchise.  We were all big fans of The Amazing Spider-Man when we reviewed the film back on July 4th, our overall consensus was:

“Thrilling and emotionally engaging, director Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man is anchored by excellent leading performances from Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as well as impressive special effects.  ***3/4 (Out of 4)”

The DVD includes audio commentary with the filmmakers and deleted scenes as well as a gallery of production art and footage from the stunt rehearsals.

The Amazing Spider-Man is 136 minutes and rated PG.
