Today, MGM Home Entertainment is releasing the Oscar-nominated Skyfall on Blu-ray & DVD.  Directed by Sam Mendes with thrilling action sequences, excellent performances and visually striking cinematography by Roger Deakins, this is a beautifully crafted piece of work that pays tribute to the classic James Bond films, while taking the long running franchise in exciting new directions.  We all highly recommended Skyfall when we reviewed the film in theatres on November 9th, and our overall consensus was:

“Directed by Sam Mendes, Skyfall is an exciting and beautifully crafted addition to the fifty year old James Bond franchise, that is carried by excellent work from Daniel Craig and visually stunning action sequences.  **** (Out of 4)”

The Blu-ray includes a commentary track with Sam Mendes, footage from the premiere and over a dozen featurettes on everything from the cars to the villains.

Skyfall is 143 minutes and rated 14A.
