Today, Touchstone Home Entertainment is releasing Lincoln on Blu-ray & DVD, on behalf of DreamWorks.  Nominated for twelve Academy Awards, with a mesmerizing performance from Daniel Day-Lewis that won him a much deserved Oscar for Best Actor, this is an excellent film with solid direction from Steven Spielberg and a smart screenplay.  We reviewed Lincoln when it opened back on November 9th and all deeply admired the film, our overall consensus was:

“Led by strong direction from Steven Spielberg, Lincoln is a sharply written historical drama that is carried by an excellent cast which includes a mesmerizing performance from Daniel Day-Lewis in the title role.  ***1/2 (Out of 4)”

The regular Blu-ray includes two featurettes, and the special edition has an entire disc of extras.

Lincoln is 150 minutes and rated PG.
