Walt Disney Home Entertainment is releasing their blockbuster hit Oz The Great and Powerful on Blu-ray & DVD today.  Directed by Sam Raimi, this is a visually stunning prequel to the 1939 masterpiece, that is filled with appealing characters and provides plenty of fantastical entertainment for those of all ages.

We reviewed Oz The Great and Powerful when it was released in theatres back on March 8th and all loved the film, our overall consensus was:

“With beautiful 3D visuals and a memorable cast of characters, Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful is an incredibly entertaining film that plays as a loving homage to the world of filmmaking and the 1939 masterpiece The Wizard of Oz.  **** (Out of 4)”

The Blu-ray includes bloopers and five featurettes, as well as My Journey in Oz, which is a production journal directed by James Franco.  The film is also available to buy as a combo pack and in 3D.

Oz The Great and Powerful is 131 minutes and rated PG.
