DVD/Blu-ray Release: G.I. Joe: Retaliation
Today, Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing G.I. Joe: Retaliation on Blu-ray & DVD. When most of their team is killed in action, Roadblock (Dwayne Johnson), Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki) and Flint (D.J. Cotrona) are left to save the world from a new threat within the government, with a little help from the retired General Joe Colton (Bruce Willis).
Directed by Jon M. Chu and released in theatres on March 29th, this was a sequel to the 2009 film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Although the dialogue is often campy and the politics of the plot are actually quite ridiculous, G.I. Joe: Retaliation provides 110 minutes of mindless fun that will be enjoyed by those looking for harmless escapism. The cast is appealing and there is entertainment to be found in the numerous action scenes that make up the film, and the Blu-ray offers a crystal clear image and sound.
The Blu-ray includes commentary with Jon M. Chu and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, deleted scenes and over an hour of featurettes about the production.
G.I. Joe: Retaliation is 110 minutes and rated PG.
