No Article Today…
Because today is a civic holiday here in Ontario and the end of a long weekend, I’m taking the day off from writing my usual Monday article. I’m also trying to save up some of my resources for when the Toronto International Film Festival opens in exactly a month from today, which Cameron Bailey already promised on Twitter “will have more world premieres than it’s ever had.”
I hope everyone has been enjoying the summer movie season so far, and there are still lots of good movies in theatres that are absolutely worth seeing. There are also several more coming in the next few weeks, including the Toronto release of the critically acclaimed Sundance sensation The Spectacular Now on August 16th and Edgar Wright’s much anticipated The World’s End on August 23rd. Please come back tomorrow for our DVD reviews of Oblivion and some other cool stuff throughout the week, including our thoughts on Disney’s Planes coming this Friday. As usual, my articles will resume next Monday.
