This Tuesday, Mongrel Media released the indie film Drinking Buddies across all home entertainment platforms, including iTunes.  Kate (Olivia Wilde) and Luke (Jake Johnson) are best friends and colleagues at a Chicago brewery, but their friendship and possible romantic feelings for each other are put to the test when her boyfriend Chris (Ron Livingston) starts to develop feelings for his girlfriend Jill (Anna Kendrick).

These beats of the story might sound familiar, but director Joe Swanberg presents them in a way that always feels real.  As we watch the friendship between Kate and Luke evolve and change, we become invested in these characters as if they were our own friends.  An entertaining opportunity to watch a group of immensely talented actors turn in some of their best work, Drinking Buddies is the sort of film that really benefits from being available on demand, and deserves to find an audience on iTunes.
