Today, Paramount Home Entertainment is releasing Anchorman: The “Rich Mahogany” Edition on Blu-ray.  First released back in 2004, the totally ridiculous and instantly quotable comedy follows broadcaster Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) as he faces rivalry and romance with Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), the first female news anchor.

With a hilarious cast that includes Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is a cult classic that has attracted a dedicated fanbase over the past nine years and is always worth revisiting, especially before the much anticipated sequel Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues opens on December 18th.  Packaged with an amusing diary and a pack of twelve trading cards, as well as movie cash to see the sequel in theatres, this new set would make a great gift.

The Blu-ray comes packed with tons of bonus material, including a commentary track, a bunch of deleted and extended scenes, a blooper reel and the “Afternoon Delight” music video, as well as two versions of the film and Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy is 97 minutes and rated 14A.
