Warner Bros. has just released the new trailer for Dune: Part Three, which premiered today during special IMAX fan events. This longer look at Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming film, which is the final chapter in his epic sci-fi saga, fills me with promise for what he has delivered. The scale of it looks quite stunning.

This is a moody, atmospheric trailer that showcases the darker tone, as well as what looks to be another knockout performance from Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides. We also get intriguing glimpses at Robert Pattinson is doing as the villain, and Anya-Taylor Joy, who briefly appears soaked in blood and has an expanded role this time around.

The film opens exclusively in theatres on December 18th, the same day as Avengers: Doomsday; “Dunesday” is what they are calling it. The full trailer is below.
