The first teaser trailer dropped this morning for The Thomas Crown Affair, Michael B. Jordan’s fresh take on the heist films of the same name from 1968 and 1999, respectively.
Jordan is directing this one, and it’s also his first big role since winning the Best Actor Oscar for Sinners earlier this year. It looks like a sleek and stylish thriller, with the teaser smartly centred around his movie star screen presence. Like Steve McQueen and Pierce Brosnan, who both played the Thomas Crown character before him in the earlier films, this man has aura.
The film opens exclusively in theatres on March 5th, 2027, including in IMAX. I’m getting a Tenet vibe from some of these visuals.
