Greta Lee and Willem Dafoe in Late Fame

Theatrical Releases:

Late Fame (Limited Release): This character drama, which premiered at Venice last year and is finally being released, stars Willem Dafoe in a prime role as a faded poet receiving a late stage career revival when his work his discovered by a group of young artists in New York. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Dafoe brings a lot to the performance, complimented by Greta Lee in a supporting role as a younger stage actress. (Full Review)

The Magic Faraway Tree (Limited Release): This British family film comes from one of the writers of Paddington 2 (Simon Farnaby). Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy star as parents who move their three kids to the countryside, where their youngest daughter (Billie Gadsdon) discovers a magical tree that serves as a portal to enchanted lands. It’s cute and charming, with some positive messages for families. (Full Review)
