DVD/Blu-ray Release: Quartet
Today Quartet comes to DVD/Blu-ray courtesy of eOne and BBCFilms. The film, set in the British countryside, is about a group of retired singers living in an old folks home for musicians. The film is sure to be enjoyed, especially by an older audience with an interest in classical music. Back when we reviewed the film on January 18th, our consensus was:
“Directed by Dustin Hoffman and carried by a good supporting cast led by Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly and Pauline Collins, Quartet is a charming and nicely written comedy about a group of retired opera singers. *** (Out of 4)”
The Quartet Blu-ray includes the following special features (en Anglais seulement):
• Feature Commentary with Dustin Hoffman
• Behind the Scenes Featurettes
Quartet is 98 minutes, and is rated PG for language and tobacco use. You can read our original theatrical reviews here.
