New releases for the week of November 6th, 2026.

Theatrical Releases:
Wild Horse Nine (Wide Release): This latest from writer-director Martin McDonagh, following his Oscar juggernauts Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and The Banshees of Inisherin, is essentially a two-hander between John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell. They star as two CIA agents visiting Easter Island in 1973, while there to destabilize Chile’s government. I’ve seen this film twice now, having gone back to watch it again recently after seeing it at the TIFF premiere, and it’s a highly entertaining hit man buddy comedy with a deeper layer of pathos running through it. Malkovich is excellent in a role that could very well win him his first Oscar, backed up by a stellar Rockwell, with the two having a ball delivering McDonagh’s memorable dialogue. (TIFF 2026 Review)
Godzilla Minus Zero (Wide Release): Japanese director Takashi Yamazaki’s sequel to his breakout hit Godzilla Minus One is a massive blockbuster made to be experienced in IMAX. It works as both sequel and companion piece, delivering on the promise of being a post-WWII human story within a grand scale monster movie. Yamazaki does a great job of not only staging the giant set-pieces but also building up to them, delivering exhilarating sequences of kaiju action. (Full Review)
