DVD/Blu-ray Release: The Hangover Part III

October 15, 2013

The Hangover Part III Blu-Ray ImageThe third and final film in the ‘Hangover’ trilogy, is now available (released Oct. 8th) on DVD/Blu-ray courtesy of Warner Bros.

The first film was an instant classic, although the second film was a real let down in my book.  But this third instalment somehow works.  It is darker, edgier, and plays more seriously, and creates a fitting conclusion to the events the characters put into play in Las Vegas back in 2009.

In The Hangover Part III, the Wolfpack gets back together one last time.  This time, it isn’t about partying – or really hangovers at all.  When Leslie Chow (Ken Jeong) breaks out of the Bangkok prison where he has been locked up for two years, he re-enters the Wolfpack’s lives as they’re trying to drive to Arizona as part of a much needed intervention for Alan (Zach Galifianakis).

With mobsters wanting them to help bring Chow down, and Doug kidnapped, they have no choice but to play along.  The stakes are genuinely high, and it’s a refreshing take on the franchise rather than just a rehashing of the original like Part II was.

The Hangover Part III Blu-ray includes the following special features:

Replacing Zach: The Secret Auditions

The Wolfpack’s Wildest Stunts

Pushing the Limits

Inside Focus: The Real Chow

• And much more, including extended scenes and outtakes

The Hangover Part III is 100 minutes, and is rated 14A for coarse language, and nudity.
